Perspectives in Retinal Bioenergetics: Why it Matters in AMD
For AMD Awareness Month, join us for this educational webinar exploring the science of retinal bioenergetics and why cellular energy balance plays a critical role in the pathophysiology of AMD.

Webinar Registration
Dr. Lynda Goual, MD will examine how disruptions in retinal metabolism contribute to disease progression, discuss how the landscape of Dry AMD care is evolving, and review the role of microcurrent stimulation as a novel therapeutic approach aimed at supporting retinal function at the cellular level. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the metabolic underpinnings of AMD and how these insights are reshaping clinical management strategies.

About the Speaker
Dr. Lynda Goual, MD practiced as an ophthalmologist with over 20 years of direct clinical experience caring for patients across a wide range of ocular conditions. During this time, she developed a deep understanding of the real-world challenges clinicians face in managing progressive conditions like dry AMD, from limited treatment options to patient adherence and expectations.
Now serving as Vice President of Medical Affairs at MacuMira, Dr. Goual bridges front-line clinical insight with emerging science, focusing on how novel approaches can be thoughtfully integrated into modern eye care. Her work centers on translating mechanisms, such as microcurrent stimulation, into clinically meaningful, practice-relevant concepts for eye care professionals.
Dr. Goual is deeply committed to evidence-informed care and to supporting eye care professionals with clear, practical education that helps them better serve patients with unmet needs in dry AMD.
